TENDER : Consultancy to Conduct Value Chain and Market System Study - CLOSE:07-11-2016

CARE Rwanda, through different economic empowerment models ; empowers Vulnerable Women and youth to become socially and economically secure, enjoy and exercise their rights and live in dignity.We Promote vulnerable women and youth’s access to appropriate financial services, build their skills in enterprise development, and link women and youth entrepreneurs to functioning markets and value-chains, allowing them to increase their and the household’s cash income. Through various programs, we are working with more than 450,000 Rwandans in rural Rwanda (above 70% being women). Above 60 % of the total beneficiaries are engaged in small businesses as smallholder farmers or micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in agri-businesses. Agriculture sector in Rwanda is still facing some challenges that, if not addressed limits the growth and contribution of the sector to the National economic growth. Value chains and sustainable market system development is one of the solutions to understand and remove bottlenecks in Agricultural value chains development in Rwanda.

Therefore, CARE Rwanda would like to recruit an experienced local or international consultant /consultancy firm to conduct aValue Chain and Market System Study.

How to apply : Both technical and financial proposals should be submitted in sealed envelope with mention “Value Chain and Market System Study”addressed to the Country Director, P.O.Box 550 Kigali, Rwanda to the reception of CARE office and/or by email to the following e-mail address : RWAInfo@care.org.
The application file should contain the following documents :
• A detailed Curriculum Vitae of the individual(s) or firms who are proposing to carry out the work (if a team is envisaged, ensure the repartition of roles is clearly explained) ;
• A capacity statement demonstrating why the consultants are capable of doing the job based on academic qualifications and relevant past professional experience (Selection criteria are in the ToR) ;
• A technical and narrative offer with a clear timeframe and the description of the proposed methodology detailing how the deliverables will be achieved ;
• A financial offer detailing the various costs associated with the delivery of the above services.

The deadline for submission of offers is November 7th, 2016 at 5:00 pm
